Join the Samesame But Different team

samesame but different is seeking LGBTQIA+ creatives and community members with a love of books and queer writing (embracing all genres, mediums and platforms) to join the ssbd Board and contribute to the ongoing creative and administrative development of the festival and its place in our diverse community.

We are looking for applicants with a love of books and queer writing (embracing all genres, mediums and platforms), who are excited to contribute to the ongoing creative and administrative development of samesame but different and its place in our diverse community.

In particular, we are seeking people with any or all of the following:

• experience on a board or in the literary sector

• practical skills in event management

• curation

• grant application writing.

You do not have to be Auckland based, but we do expect board members to make 1-2 in-person meetings a year and be available to attend the Auckland ssbd festival in February.

To be considered, please include your thoughts on how you would like to contribute / an expression of interest with the name of a referee.

We will be accepting EOIs until midnight on 12 April.

Izzy Robinson is a producer and theatre creator specialising in non-traditional and site specific works, as well as an on-again-off-again playwright. They grew up in Auckland then moved to Montreal to attend University, then onto Washington DC to complete a Scenic Carpentry Apprenticeship. (more…)
